We had a fabulous time, digging out beads and goldwork materials (or delving into the kit supplied by Lucy), so that she could show us some of the techniques and processes she uses in her couture embroidery and her own artwork. Lucy’s training with the Royal School of Needlework was evident in the way she had transferred exquisite traditional techniques into her contemporary beading and goldwork practice, as well as being a confident and encouraging teacher.
