Teacup trees – updated

We knew that making little trees to sit in teacups was going to make for a fun day – and we weren’t disappointed!

There are quite a few stages involved in stitching the tree on soluble fabric,

assembling it with the trunk and wire,

then creating the felt covered and stitched base to fit into our individual teacups.

Some people will always remember ‘massaging’ their oasis ball to fit into a cup!

Amazing results – so many delightful little trees!

The final stage: adding some more embellishment to complete the miniature scene:

We are very grateful to Jane Fairweather for sharing her expertise and patiently guiding us through the process.

UPDATE: Members’ finished trees …
