The last-minute change to the programme was disappointing for those members who had hoped to spend the day with Jessie Chorley, but it was made up for with the unexpected chance to sit and stitch informally with fellow members.
The programme team had prepared for the possibility of a tutor cancellation by putting together a kit comprising a square of blue fabric and a small bag of bits for everyone. Turning the selection of assorted small bits and pieces in clashing colours into a coherent sample was certainly a challenge! – but one that members were equal to, of course, as you can see below.
n.b. Please bring finished pieces to the AGM in September, since they will be making another appearance later in the year …
