Eyelets
There are several variants of eyelets that you can try out. These examples are of eyelet holes. The first is worked on calico in variegated cotton, over a background of blocks made with the end of an eraser and ink stamp pads. The second is hessian with sari yarn.
The same basic stitch can be worked on canvas or as drawn thread on linen enlarging the central hole by pulling tightly away from the centre, rather than cutting across the centre like the eyelet holes worked here.
