It was good to see so many members at our “Christmas Jolly”. A satisfying number of ‘heirloom’ decorations were hung on the Christmas tree (we need a bigger tree!), which showcased members’ talents beautifully …
… as did the table of Christmas-themed items members had made:
The morning got a little bit challenging with the Christmas quiz – Sue never lets us rest on our laurels! (now when were turkeys first brought to this country?), but it was good to get the brain cells working, and the fun continued with some lovely textile packages exchanged in the Secret Santa.
After lunch came the real challenge, though! Billed as an easy make, the woven bowls somehow didn’t quite work out that way. Nevertheless, members rose to the challenge and created some lovely, colourful – and useful – bowls.
A big thank you to all who helped with the organisation, and to everyone who came along and made it a really convivial day.
