Talk: Recycled Clothing and Anthropomorphic Dolls with Rachel David

Rachel describes herself as an armchair eco-warrior in that she has practised environmentally aware principles all her life. She says,

“I am horrified by the waste and the exploitation in the textile industry and find rails of utilitarian, identical clothing in high street shops depressing! I have always made and recycled my own clothes and household textiles.

“I am drawn to theatrical, colourful, exuberant styles and this is reflected in my work. I have been making and selling for nearly 20 years, firstly at fairs and markets followed by 2 shops and now back to fairs, via social media and through talks and workshops.”
