Textile Connections: Zoom Talk by Suzette Smart

Textile artist and tutor, Suzette, delivers workshops and talks throughout the UK as well as for French General in south-west France in 2023/24.
In 2019 Suzette’s work Draw My World In Words was selected for the inaugural Fine Art Textile Award Gallery at The Festival Of Quilts. She is one of the co-organisers and curators of the acclaimed Stitch By Stitch 2023 exhibition at The Willow Gallery, Oswestry.
In this evening’s talk Suzette will share some of the inspiration and techniques she uses to create her multi layered pieces of work. Ideas and themes are drawn from connections within a landscape and the paths that lead her through and home. She has been described as a stitch storyteller, since whatever the piece of stitch there is always a tale to tell.
