Warwickshire Stitchers AGM & Members’ Day

This year’s AGM marks one full year since the inception of Warwickshire Stitchers – such a lot has happened since we wound ourselves up as a branch of the Embroiderers’ Guild in 2021!  We hope as many members as can make it will come along to celebrate our first birthday.

Morning: Business meeting – agenda available soon.

Afternoon: We’re looking forward to Christmas and to taking part again in the very popular Christmas Tree Festival at St Mary’s Collegiate Church, Warwick.  This year we will be making Zany Birds, designed by a friend of Liz’s sister, and who doesn’t need one – or several – of these to hang up?

We will provide a kit for just £1.  The money will go towards the cost of entering the Christmas Tree Festival, and the kit will include:

• Contrasting felt for body, wings and beak;
• Thread for stitching and legs;
• Various beads and sequins;
• Pattern and instructions to make the bird.

The pattern and instructions will be sent out to all members with the AGM information. If you prefer to use your own materials, then these will be a guide to quantities required.

Requirements:

• Sewing kit (needles, scissors and thread)
• Glasses for sewing
• Any other decoration that you fancy

n.b. Toy stuffing and feathers will be available for all to use

Please bring your lunch and drinks and of course, some chatter 😀

Please note:  if you would rather get on with some of your own stitching, then bring it along and enjoy the company.
